What we're about

Community Storytellers is storyswap group that was formed in 1981 by two special women named Peggy Prentice and Kathleen Zundell. Peggy and Kathleen are no longer with us but they left a wonderful format for bringing people together. We welcome folk and fairy tales, true and personal stories, tale tales and legends, myths, literary stories, poems and even songs. Our group is warm and supportive and non-competitive. All you need to do is show up and have your piece memorized. Everyone will have an opportunity to tell if time permits. Please note the time requirements on the individual Meetup.

Community Storytellers

Online event

Come and share a 1 to 3 minute story (so everyone has a chance to tell).

Personal and family stories, folk and fairy-tales, literary stories, urban
legends and original stories are welcome. Even poems!

Also, bring your 8 minute story to share if time permits.

We have a rule of no reading (but now that we are online, we won't be able to tell)

We encourage newcomers and seasoned tellers alike.
Listeners who are not yet tellers are also welcome.
