Throughout my journey with dance, meditation and healing, I have gathered tools that had helped me in coping with depression and anxiety. I now want to share these tools and create a common space for individuals to join and feel supported thru their journey.
If you are dealing with anxiety you know how challenging it is to get going even when your heart is screaming to "go and do it" Your body may struggle to just get the day started.
So I want to start this meeting where we will have 1 hour of sharing our experiences with living with anxiety in a circle. You are not required to speak if you don't feel like it, you can just attend to listen. The point of this circle is to slowly learn to put words to emotions and to find support on others as we together move thru this journey of self-discovery.
There will be a 30 minute dance class that I will be guiding. You dont need any previous experience on moving. The goal for this section of the meeting, is for us to practice moving our bodies in a way that sparks joy. You can also just seat and watch and enjoy the music as others move.
This is a Donation based meet up. I am paying to rent the space, so if you feel inclined to help me cover the cost that would be so welcome.
What to bring:
Comfortable, lose clothes so you can move.
