Second official Computational Archaeology Meetup in Johannesburg with guest speaker Viktor Radermacher and Pizza!
Entelect head quarters has sponsored a venue and pizza for the latest Computational Archaeology Meetup. The meetup will take place on the 21st of November at 18:30 at the Entelect Head Quarters in Melrose Arch.
There will be two talks:

Kristina Young (Georgieva), a software developer, will give a short introduction to computational archaeology and what it is all about. This will be a short 10-15 minute talk.

Viktor Radermacher, a computational palaeontologist from Wits, will be presenting on the use of X-ray microtomography to analyse dinosaur bones. This will be a 30 minute presentation giving an introduction to microtomography and a more detailed view into his research in the distribution of postcranial skeletal pneumaticity in theropod dinosaurs.
