ECCV Papers Review and Capsule Neural Networks
Details
We are excited to announce another meetup!
This time we will have two sessions - Doron Portnoy from General Motors will give a talk on selected papers from ECCV 2018 conference and Tamir Nave will present CapsuleNet for image recognition.
The meetup will be hosted and sponsored by General Motors.
Looking forward to meet you at the event!
Description - Capsule networks
CNN are awesome. It is able to introduce new computers capabilities that were beyond imagine. Nonetheless, it has fundamental drawbacks.
One of the criticisms on CNN is that researchers do not have a real educated impact on the model like they have in classic algorithms. It is a black box.CapsuleNet is a (deep) neural network model that differs in that sense.
CapsuleNet architecture was developed by Geoffrey Hinton and his colleagues and introduces a creative thinking of the essence of image recognition.
The lecture will present both theoretical and code implementation of CapsuleNets
Tamir Nave has 10 years experience in the field of algorithms, focusing on computer vision and deep learning as a developer, team leader, consultant and mentor.
Tamir holds a Bsc in math & EE and MA in EE.
Tamir is the founder of the collaborative Hebrew blog for AI: www.ai-blog.co.il
