What we're about

The purpose of Con-Cy Intel (Consortium of Cyber Security Intelligence, CCI) is built upon a dream of expanding the world of cyber security to a larger base of Cyber-security enthusiast, students and the community in which we live.

CCI strives to bring hands on and real world experience into the minds of the workforce's future employees. CCI will first share research, statistics, and trends of cyber security, compliance, and ethical hacking principals. The members of CCI will then participate in labs and workshops to begin applying their course and organizational education. The members of CCI will attend cyber security and ethical hacking events and will begin networking with the state’s current workforce. It is also a future goal of CCI to partner with local high schools and community centers to begin educating young adults in the opportunities of cyber security.

DefCon North Atlanta (DC770) [Hosted by Zach Stashis]

Jefferson's Restaurant of Cartersville

"The DEF CON Groups were spawned from the annual DEF CON security conference in Las Vegas. The DEF CON Groups (DCGs or DC-Groups) are a gathering point for folks interested in the alternate applications of modern technology, referred to properly as 'hacking'. DCGs are not intended to compete with any other computer groups, such as 2600, but rather to provide yet another gathering place for the discussion of technology and security topics. DCG meetings are open to anyone, regardless of their skill, age, job, gender, etc. DCGs are designed to help you learn new things, meet new people, mentor others in areas you may be strong in, and provide some cohesion within the hacker culture and it's members.
-- DCG FAQ (https://defcongroups.org/dcgfaq.html)

We meet in the basement/bar area of the restaurant and there's a lot more parking around back (the front is along Main Street and parking is minimal). If entering the restaurant from the back door, the stairs are immediate to the left. If entering from the front door, go all the way to the back and down the stairs.

Monthly 2600 Meeting with Ethical Hackers, Penetration Testers, & Info Sec

"Monthly meeting usually involves a CTF (if you want to participate), in which case bring a laptop, if you have Kali, Backbox, or security tools installed great!

Named after the zine, 2600 meetings are a monthly gathering in a public location where we chat about recent events in security and privacy. Topics discussed vary wildly. There’s no cost, and no structure. There’s a few regulars and a few people finding us for the first time every month.

There is parking very close to the food court, directly opposite the mall from Peachtree."All ages/skill levels welcome. No dues, feel free to bring new friends.

Sign up for the chat/discussion list – it’s extremely low traffic, keeps you in the loop, and enables you to communicate with the other 2600 folks:
