Begun six years ago, Oxjam is now the UK's largest music festival, with more than 4,000 shows since inception. Locally, Oxfam volunteers work to raise awareness about global hunger and food issues through outreach, and lobbying lawmakers and major corporations to help right the wrongs of poverty and injustice. Oxfam's other current priorities include relief and recovery post-typhoon in the Philippines, and providing water and sanitation in refugee camps in and around Syria. Proceeds from these events will go directly to benefit Oxfam's work. The all-volunteer event will help to raise money for Oxfam's work to create lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and social injustice
