What we're about

This group serves to give everyone an excuse to try the new restaurants popping up all over the Conejo Valley. We plan to have bi-monthly dinner meet ups at new restaurants all around the Conejo Valley -basically between Calabasas and Camarillo. We generally meet on weeknights around 8pm. We pay for our own meals, have great conversation, and wait patiently for the next meet up ;)

This group is for anyone that loves to try to new food and new places to eat. This is not a "dating" group - though if people meet through here, mazel tov! This is not a "networking/marketing" group - please do not try to sell to any members.

We have an annual $12 membership fee that should be paid through Meetup's online payment process or directly to the organizer (send a direct message to Jen Duryea for more information). New members get a 30 day trial period to feel this group out and see if it's a good fit. I also request that if you RSVP to an event and you need to cancel, please change your RSVP through this site. It would be even better if you can cancel by noon on the day of the event. I would like to be respectful of the restaurant we are patronizing and make sure we have accurate head counts.

Hole Mole! Let's Dine in Mejico!

Mejico Grill & Tequila Lounge

O queso! Putting the puns asada moment, I think it's time we went to another Mexican restaurant, and Mejico Grill and Tequila Lounge (https://www.mejicogrill.com/) caught my eye. Based on the Yelp reviews (https://www.yelp.com/biz/mejico-grill-and-tequila-lounge-agoura-hills), this food is a bit upscale and has an extensive collection of tequilas. Also they offer "2 for 1 Margarita Mondays", so we really can't go wrong! I don't know if the margaritas are that strong, but you might want to arrange a DD, just in quesadilla. Sopas the chips and salsa! It's time to dine! Please RSVP to include yourself in the reservation head count. If you need to cancel, please cancel by noon on the day of the event - or else I'll flag you as a "no show". I've capped the reservation at 10. I will give the restaurant a heads-up on the number of people in our reservation by noon on the day of. We all pay for our own plates. As we get closer to the date of the event, I may open it up to more people, depending on what the restaurant can offer us. If you are interested and this event is booked, please do not hesitate to sign up on the wait-list. A couple of attendees always tend to drop a day or two prior to the event, automatically moving wait-listed people to reserved seating. I try to send a message by the day of the meeting to let wait-listed people know they have been added to the reservation head count. Please also note that I decided to pico a Monday, instead of a traditional Wednesday night, to take advantage of the 2 for 1 margarita special. I can't wait to margarit-ya in my sock monkey hat when you get there. Tequila night off and come join us!
