What we're about

Welcome! We look forward to meeting you! Anything or anyone in the Real Estate industry, marketing, technology, or Business Owners/Innovators/Entrepreneurs. This is for you! For the past 5 years, we were all Richmond Women In Real Estate, however, when we got together and combined our passions with others...not only did our businesses grow, but we realized that marketing and technology ruled our industry. It's taken over. So, there is no more Richmond WIRE. It's now Connect 804. A group that can help you Connect. Collaborate. Inspire. you to the next level of whatever you are purposing to do! Membership is currently FREE (subject to change eventually) and some events may have a fee involved so be sure to check the details.

We started nearly 5 years ago and blend a combination of networking luncheons, socials, outreach, referrals, volunteerism, sponsors give us exclusive discounts and get updated regularly, and utilizing the group email blast for helping one another with customers, deals, questions, and also referrals.

In this economy, its an honor to still be active in our industries--especially as technology has taken over...this will help us all keep up! Whether you are new, want to learn, need a service perhaps, or an expert...all are welcome!

In 2010, our team of professionals began gathering groups of people together on a tour bus to visit Richmond’s “Voted Best Locally Owned Restaurants and Retailers” to hear their success stories allowing others to also network, aspire for more in their lives, provide a “wow” food and shopping experience, and bring business live into local establishments. We started piloting this intiative 2 years ago and it hasn’t left our brand without requests for MORE!! In 2013, we've even done the first TEEN EVENT!- Inspiring teens to entrepreneurship! This has created live interviews of successful entrepreneurs on a regular basis- something we can all learn from and collectively standing for one major movement that can be described in these words: CHANGE is COLLABORATING. CONNECTING. INSPIRING. We know this will be an extremely impactful part of the successful events that our meetup will soon become known for! The Inspire Project!

About the organizer, and her team of professionals, here are the Bio's about who's behind this movement:

Leah Coleman, Founder of VisitConnect804 and The Inspire Project, LLC., is a visionary entrepreneur, wife, and a licensed Real Estate Professional in her native hometown. Her strengths and 10 years of successful experience from the Retail Management and Financial Arena have spawned her into Business Development with an emphasis in Real Estate and Small Businesses. This high energy mogul that she is has started her very own “love revolution” combining her passion for fashion, real estate, and helping locally owned small businesses become “Recession Proof” in a variety of ways. Her first focus is her faith (Hebrews 11:1, 12:1-3) and building others along the way, growing her businesses and speaking engagements, leading the professionals of Richmond Women In Real Estate (a network of 250+ Professionals), and giving back to the community through a variety of ways. Volunteering for 14 years, she has learned that the experiences that we learn the most from are when we lend ourselves or services, expecting nothing in return. She will be serving more this year in an International capacity as her church launches a new ministry movement offering collaboration and connecting to and for ministers both nationally and internationally through Faith Landmarks Ministries Ministerial Fellowship. Leah was also featured in the Richmond Times Dispatch “Money” Section last year as commentary on Rentals, Landlord Relationships, Property Management, Networking Tips, and Leasing.

Leah would love to hear from you on any occasion and welcomes your referrals also. Please feel welcome to contact her live or online where she can be found on a variety of social media, by phone at 804.484.2018, or by email at leah@ReFineProperties.com !

Charles “Chuck” Coleman III, Founder of VisitConnect804 and Integrated Pest Control , LLC., is a Richmond area business owner with over 13 years experience in the service industry. He and his wife, Leah Coleman, are looking forward to offering more consulting services and speaking engagements in 2012 to help foster what they call a “COLLABORATION MOVEMENT”. Chuck has a background of Nutrition and Food Science from the University of the District of Columbia. While in the city of our nation’s capitol, he worked in litigation in Georgetown where he was led to work with some of Washington DC’s largest corporations. His Litigation and Restaurant Management experience grew into many more areas and opportunities for entrepreneurship and continued education. The diversity of these two have made him successful in Public Health and Integrated Pest Management in a niche that is very specialized. His mission is to educate the public on environmental and eco-friendly advancements for pest management. As his heart’s pull, he has traveled globally and his mission work have gained him knowledgeable in 4-6 languages as well as taking a global “GREEN” approach to his professional services and personal life. Lastly, his service in the community and his passions are at his church and are highly influential, recognized, and awarded for excellent performance in Youth & Young Adults Ministry leadership and has been humbled to contribute to Richmond’s Homeless Community. He welcomes your connection by social media, by phone at 804.549.7279, or by email at chccc3@gmail.com.

Edward “Sonny” Talley, Business Law/Tax Expert, is an attorney and CPA with 22 years of experience advising owners of closely held companies, corporate executives, and other high net worth individuals on transactional, tax, estate planning and asset protection matters. In addition, he has helped both start up and existing enterprises with the legal aspects of establishing an electronic commerce channel or other web presence. He has also worked with IT consultants and other attorneys on electronic discovery and computer forensics matters. “I am honored to recommend www.VisitConnect804.com and it’s subsidiary, The Inspire Project for you to set an investment into. When Leah Goff (now, Leah Coleman) approached me in November 2010 about participating in this business, I agreed to help her start up and become her first investor because I saw an opportunity to bring to Richmond a new concept, Co-Working, that fills a void in the office market. A co-working facility combines the benefits of traditional office space with an affordable price point, no long term commitment, and a chance to collaborate with the other members of the facility. By combining these features, a co-working facility creates a modern business incubator for all market segments, not just technology. Such a facility applies the very popular concept of social networking to office space.”

Richmond happens to be a very steady market in this economy in these two major ways. #1-According to Real Estate Trends, Richmond is the 12th healthiest housing market in the US and has also been reported as a “Great Place to Start Over”. #2-The Wall Street Journal reported Richmond in December 2010, ranking #7 city in the US as “Best Places for Business/Careers”. We see now that RICHMOND, Virginia is a place where now is the best time to “Make Things Happen!”

Rachel and Buddy Loughlin, Marketing/Graphic Design/Web for ByHisDesigns.com

Design sends a message. Before you can say a word, your web site, brochures, and even logos and business cards are telling people about you. The mission of ByHisDesigns is to put great web and print design services within reach for businesses, organizations, events, and churches regardless of their size or budget.

For over 10 years, we worked in the print and web graphics fields. We have worked and traveled with established international ministries and a small warehouse church that grew into an international ministry. We have produced work targeted for Fortune 500 executives and work targeted to make a single person office look like a Fortune 500 company. We have even bartered web design for free food at our favorite coffee shop. We love what we do. We love working with people who love what they do, people trying to make their corner of the world a better place. Let your light shine! We believe good design doesn’t have to be out of reach! ByHisDesigns can help you send the right message about YOUR message. We look forward to working together on a project soon!
