This week we have invited John Gardiner– Former retailer and current network marketer - talk about the fundamentals of doing business as listed in the first few chapters of his "little book of business".
Whether you call it Affiliate marketing, relationship, or network marketing, it all works on the simple principle of getting paid for something most people in business usually do for free every day... Referrals.
The last time he spoke to my students, John said "If you want to learn how to sell, then start selling things". John has been doing this long before social media, but there has never been a better time to find customers online that want what you have to sell. Nor has it ever been easier to get products to customers all around the world.
How do you do that ethically? Not by selling ice to Eskimos. There are better building products out there now.
Not everyone is your customer and in the age of social media and Google, who wants a bad product/service review?

It's the 7th talk in a series of 10 weekly sessions run as part of our Certificate IV in Marketing Communications class this term.
The Format:
20 min TEDx style talk followed by questions from our International Students studying Certificate IV in Marketing Communications.
Students will interview the guest as part of their learning experience, looking for real-world solutions for the businesses they work for.

You are invited to join International students in our Certificate IV in Marketing Communications class to see what students from around the world come to study in Oz.
Each week this term we have invited industry expert guest lecturers to talk to the class about what customers will pay for. We’ll also discuss what people are willing to pay extra for, to help businesses take off, even in uncertain times.
This will be a structured lesson, but it’s not just our guests talking about their expertise. They want to talk to you. We want to know what your biggest issues are, and what problems you need solving.
