The Yin to our daily Yang, Restorative yoga brings us back to balance and cultivates deep inner peace. 60 minutes of total restoration and relaxation, this class is focused on centering breath and body to align the physical with the mental by practicing stillness and holding supported postures for long periods of time, with the use of props. The calming effect of Restorative Yoga soothes the mind, deepens inner awareness and body awareness, and makes you feel safe and supported. Restorative yoga improves the capacity for healing, balances the nervous system, and boosts the immune system. Because the body and mind are more relaxed, we make room to invite in more love and compassion for ourselves and others as we connect to the Divine within.
Wisdom of the Earth medicinal essential essences will also be distributed during class if you would like to add them to your practice. Like yoga, plant extracts have been used for thousands of years to heal and balance mind, body, and spirit. The use of essential oils during yoga and meditation practices is a beautiful synergy, helping to refine focus and mental clarity, deepen mental and emotional grounding, strengthen the body-mind connection, increase stamina, and reduce muscle and joint pain and tension.
