- CT Conservative Groups Casual Meet & Greet brainstorming session
A few of us from lower CT are going to meet up at the IHOP in Newington to do a bit of brain storming & connecting with people from other groups to discuss what items we might share in common for issues & action item plans - there is strength in numbers & let's look like connecting to start making things happen in 2017 & 2018 Come after work, a few of us will get there at 5pm to "secure the side room" since they do not actually reserve the side room ahead of time the food is good & affordable & with the side room it's not loud from the other diners & our discussion won't disturb them - in doing it this way those of us who arrive early start ordering & the waitress is not overwhelmed by a sudden rush all at once for people ordering dinner The IHOP has plenty of Free Parking & is VISIBLE from the highway

Our preferred hotel for the Atlas Summit 2014 is the Holiday Inn Express and Suites, Manchester, NH. Free shuttle service will be provided for attendees staying at the Holiday Inn and Suites. The theme for 2014 is "Who is John Galt?" With Atlas Shrugged Part III due for release in 2014, we are asking: who is changing the world? Who is really making a difference? What is needed for a cultural renaissance to take off? Ayn Rand's ideas identify the cultural basis for positive change! Registration includes all sessions June 19 through mid-day June 22. Thursday, June 19 will focus on Objectivist education courses aimed primarily at students (though all registrants may attend). The main program kicks off with a welcoming dinner on Thursday, June 19. - CCDL 2nd Amendment Rally
On April 5, 2014, we’ll be gathering on the North side of the State Capitol Building at high noon to mark the first anniversary of the the signing of one of the most unconstitutional gun laws in the nation. Our keynote speaker will be noted gun rights activist and writer David Codrea. David has been featured in Guns and Ammo, Handguns, and Guns Magazine, where he writes the monthly “Rights Watch” column. He is also the National Gun Rights Examiner for Examiner.com, and writes the blog “The War on Guns”. He and Mike Vanderboegh (who spoke at our rally last year) were the ones that originally broke the story of Eric Holder’s Fast and Furious scandal. We’ll have other speakers yet to be announced, as well as some candidates who we are hoping will oust the gun grabbers in November with your help. Critical information regarding firearms and lawful carry at the Capitol While the carrying of firearms is permitted on the Capitol grounds, firearms that are now defined as assault weapons under Public Act 13-3 are prohibited. To avoid confusion and unnecessary hassles, we highly recommend carrying handguns openly or concealed (if you are properly permitted – and make sure you have 10 or less rounds in the magazine) in lieu of long arms. Also, firearms are strictly prohibited in Bushnell Park, which is right next to the rally. Keep this in mind as you are walking to and from where you parked. The Capitol police have been extremely friendly at our past rallies and have never hassled us for any reason. Lets try to keep it that way. Signs What’s a rally without signs? Be creative! Keep in mind this is a family friendly rally. There will be many children there, because this affects them too. So please consider not using profanity on any signs. We’re with you on the anger and frustration we all feel, but please keep it clean.
