Pivotal is partnering with Albertsons to host the first Container Meetup in the East Bay at their Pleasanton campus. Guest speakers will be Anuj Dhanda from Albertsons and Cornelia Davis from Pivotal.

About the speakers:

Anuj Dhanda, the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Albertsons Companies will kick off this event with a brief introduction on how his team is leveraging Containers on Pivotal Cloud Foundry. In this role, he partners with business leaders to leverage technology in creating a competitive advantage by advancing scale, omni channel customer experience, innovation and efficiencies for the company. Anuj has over 25 years of experience in leading business and technology functions in financial services and retail industries. His experience spans business-to-consumer technology, merger integration, strategy and business re-engineering, omni channel customer experience, data analytics, and modernizing technology platforms to meet current and future business needs. He has been recognized as one of the top CIOs by CIO100 and Infoweek multiple times, and recently was inducted into the CIO Hall of Fame.

Cornelia Davis, VP of Technology at Pivotal, where she helps customers develop and execute on their cloud platform strategy, will talk about current day trends in the Container world with a focus on Kubernetes and Cloud Native Patterns. Being one of Pivotal's leaders in this space, she has also authored multiple books-the latest book-- "Cloud Native Patterns: Designing change-tolerant software" is available on Amazon.
