Shobhana Radhakrishna is on a mission to reintroduce the vision of Mahātmā Gāndhī, whose principles have the strength to inspire and bring about lasting social change. Imbibing Gāndhīji’s values as she grew up in his settlement in Sevagram, India, Shobhana continues to follow the Gāndhīan way of life and serve humanity.

Her talks on the continued relevance of Gāndhī’s vision attempt to provide principles, ideas and alternatives that guide us in addressing the pressing social & ecological challenges of our time. Gāndhī’s lessons offer us invaluable advice on leading an enlightened, more meaningful, self-aware, and socially responsible life.

Shobhana is the Founder of the Gāndhīan Forum for Ethical Corporate Governance based in New Delhi, India, which promotes ethical business practices and organisational integrity in Public Sector Enterprises of the Government of India.

In India, Shobhana was recently empaneled as an ‘Eminent Citizen’ for the Indian Ministry of Rural Development, is a member of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the Mahila Samakhya of the state of Bihar, and the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan of the state of Tripura. She is also an advisor for the National Coalition for Education. Abroad, she is also the Chief Executive of the Ship for World Youth Alumni Association, a program of the Cabinet office of the Japanese Government.

Shobhana travels internationally giving public talks on Gāndhīan principles and social change. This year marks the 150th birth anniversary of Gāndhīji and she has been delivering talks throughout Europe, the MidEast and Asia, and is now in New Zealand.
