Cork Blockchain #7

We meet every second Tuesday of the month in Bank of Ireland Workbench to have 2 talks focussed on Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology, talking about Consortium/Public Blockchain, Storage, Consensus, Identity, Smart Contracts, etc.

This month we have the following confirmed:

TALK 1: IPFS

The modestly titled Inter Planetary File System is often called the "distributed web" or the "permanent web". It utilises the same technologies behind Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies to allow distributed storage and sharing of files.

The talk will go through the basics of what it is and how it can be used and will have a couple of demonstrations of the technology in action.

All people with an interest in Blockchain, Cryptography, Distributed Ledgers are welcome to attend and feel free to bring like minded colleagues and friends.
Our talks come from our community so if you have an idea for a topic (anything for 10-60 minutes) please email us at johannes@fluquid.com. Whether you are an experienced presenter, or presenting for your first time - Cork Blockchain is a great venue for it - and we are happy to help you prepare and mentor you.

Doors open at 18:00 with talks starting at 18:15.
