Create awesome APIs using the OpenAPI Specification
Details
The OpenAPI Specification is a community-driven open specification within the Open API Initiative, a Linux Foundation Collaborative Project (supported by IBM, Adobe, Microsoft, Google, and others). The specification defines a standard, programming language-agnostic interface description for REST APIs. This talk will describe API design covering consistency and good practices. You will learn how to write an OpenAPI specification, and see the benefits of publishing the specification for developers by looking at the tools available. We will generate client code using Swagger. Then we will finish off with a discussion about maintenance of your APIs, as well as means for deprecating former APIs that takes your consumers into consideration.
