Every 12 months we take a break from our normal talks (see past talk details are on our wiki on http://corksec.com/) to celebrate our anniversary with a friendly and geeky pub quiz. This year we are a month later than normal ,because remembering months is hard apparently. Expect a night with random security and tech trivia, random facts, lots of fun and prizes! To help dispel your fear of horrible questions - here are 2 from a previous year. We try to make questions guessable, its supposed to be a fun quiz - not an exam!

• In what year was the Stuxnet virus found? 2008, 2010, or 2012
• In the APT (Advanced Persistant Threats) naming convention of Crowdstrike - they use different animals to represent different countries they attributed an attack to e.g. Energetic Bear. Russia is Bear, US is Eagle. What animal is used for China?

LOGISTICS:

• This years pub Quiz will take place over a Teams Meeting (so you share video and be more interactive), and using Sli.do for questions
• Questions will be multiple choice, and quiz will run for around 90 min, followed by prize giving
• Different from previous years - the online nature and Covid-19 timing means that this will be a quiz with individual competitors (instead of our normal teams of 4). You can still have multiple people behind your account (lets be honest - its hard to police!) but we will only have one prize per competitor
• Prizes will be shipped directly to the Winners (so we'll need you to ping us an address or email), who must at least be based in Ireland.
