What we're about

A group for parents of struggling pre-teens, teens, and young adults, to receive support and share resources, with an emphasis on navigating typical resources (like school and therapists), and exploring alternative learning situations, including wilderness therapy, therapeutic boarding schools, and residential treatment centers. Anything from learning differences that are leading to emotional challenges, to behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, etc. Zero judgment. Just connection and information and options that are not necessarily being revealed or discussed in traditional settings, such as the role of the educational consultant, and the importance of a thorough neuropsych evaluation. From parents just beginning this painful and frightening journey, to those who have some experience and are on the path, and others who have made it to the other side - our intention is to give and take whatever is personally needed and desired.
