Des circonstances exceptionnelles, hors de notre contrôle, empêcheront notre présentateur, Jean-Michel Carter, de présenter « To Catch a mocking Bug! Unit-Testing in C++ » lors de cette rencontre.

En remplacement, Gabriel Aubut-Lussier présentera une présentation intitulée « Algebraic data types ». Afin d'éviter d'incommoder ceux qui se sont inscrits, le présentation sera donnée en anglais comme c'était prévu initialement.

La rencontre a lieu dans les locaux de l'UQAM, au 200 rue Sherbrooke Ouest, local SH-2140. Les portes seront ouvertes à partir de 18h.

Unforeseen circumstances which are out of our control have forced us to cancel Jean-Michel Carter's talk which was titled « To Catch a mocking Bug! Unit-Testing in C++ ».

As a replacement, Gabriel Aubut-Lussier will present a talk titled « Algebraic data types ». As the original talk was meant to be in English, the replacement talk will also be presented in English.

This talk will cover topics such as, value domains, product types, sum types, optional types, std::optional and std::variant. We'll compare class invariants to well constrained types, see how we can make our types « Correct by construction » and discuss the runtime overhead of some solutions.

This meetup will be held at UQAM at 200 Sherbrooke Ouest, room SH-2140. The doors open at 6 pm.
