• Coffee & Meaningful Conversation: "The Success Paradox" - Wed @ 11:00 AM EST

    Network event

From the comfort of your own space, you are warmly invited into dialogue with others and to discussing different topics each week while exploring some deeper questions along the way.

This week's topic: "THE SUCCESS PARADOX"
    (reference video: https://youtu.be/3LopI4YeC4I)

Q: What role has luck played in the successes of your life? How much do you feel was due to hard work and talent?
Q: When have you been able to "catch a break", or have you been largely oblivious to the fortunate events that supported your success?
Q: Does it have to be either skill or luck that explains success, or can it be both?
Q: Is it possible you are just a product of your circumstances, or is being talented and hard working enough to guarantee success?
Q: How have you looked at and treated others who were less successful than yourself?
Q: Does overlooking your lucky breaks make it easier to accept inequality and your place in society?
Q: Is it a useful illusion to believe you are in full control of your destiny?
Q: How can raising the awareness of the fortunate events in your life make you happier?
Q: What might you be inspired to do to increase the luck of others?

In this safe, inclusive, casual, and accepting environment, dialogue is encouraged over debate as each person has opportunity to share from their own diverse perspectives and experiences.

Folks in this group enjoy going beyond small talk, reflecting both inward and outward, helping build pathways for more peace and understanding in the world... and your voice matters! No particular set of beliefs (or creed) is required to be a part of this community-building activity. Diverse perspectives are welcome.

Whether to discover yourself amidst a community on a common journey or to find meaning among new friends, there is room at the table for you.

  • An Evening of Nurturing Spirit @ 6:00 PM EDT Activate Your Inner Healer

Activate Your Inner Healer with Reiki Master Alison Bastarache

Often a healer does not connect to their inner wisdom until they have experienced a physical or mental crisis that stops them in their tracks and forces them to come to terms with their reality. My mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2002, shortly afterwards I started experiencing symptoms including numbness and double vision leading to a diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. My body literally forced me to stop. I could not work or take care of my family. My first reaction was fear of the unknown and the future of my family and myself.

My professional experience at the time was in traditional medicine having worked for 17 years as a Registered Laboratory Technologist in Transfusion medicine. I was determined to heal myself and return to my life in full capacity. Reiki has played a major role in my life and my healing journey. I would like to share with you my healing journey through disease and some of the lessons I learned along the way.

I believe we all have the power to heal ourselves; the body has an innate wisdom to heal itself. We just need to provide the right environment for that healing to take place. This healing requires us to balance all aspects of our being – physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.

I will lead you through a self Reiki meditation, facilitating your connection to “Life Force Energy” so that you can experience your inner gifts of energy healing.

    Alison Bastarache Bio:

I am a Reiki Master/Teacher, Shamanic Reiki Practitioner, Life Coach, Munay Ki Facilitator and Spiritual Mentor. I offer Reiki certifications, workshops, meditations, and spiritual guidance both in groups and one on one sessions. I have a strong connection to nature, Mother earth, the elements, and all animals. I love to facilitate Full Moon ceremonies and guided Shamanic journeys. It has been my honour for the last 12 years to work with many people on their healing journeys. It is my passion to teach, to share wisdom and insight as I help to guide others along the path of self-healing.
