• Plant Based Nutrition - Community, Conversation & Support @ 7:00 PM

During this time of COVID-19 physical distancing and home sequestering, Jim & Janet's sessions are moving on-line monthly. If you’re interested in plant-based nutrition and have questions about getting enough nutrients, incorporating more plant-based foods into your meals, or just curious to know more about this lifestyle, then these sessions are for you. Last time we reviewed what is involved in a WFPB diet and talked about advantages of a plant based diet to support our immunity especially important in these days of COVID-19. For ongoing support and information please consider joining our Plant Based Nutrition 101 Facebook group community at https://www.facebook.com/groups/1366428630040300 Hope to see you there. Here's to your health! NOTE: The RSVPs here represent only a partial list of attendees as this event is advertised in several other places. PLANT BASED NUTRITION isn’t a hard concept, but there are many concerns on a wide range of topics, including if obtaining a proper amount of nutrients is possible without animal foods. Our country has prioritized processed foods and a large amount of animal-based foods as being a part of the Standard North American diet, but it doesn’t have to be that way. We have the ability to eat a whole foods, unprocessed diet without eating animals and obtain all the nutrients we need in the process. Wondering about where you’ll get your protein, calcium, iron, and B vitamins? No need! Learn how to base your diet off whole foods, and how to eat a variety of vegetables, leafy greens, fruits, nuts, seeds, beans, and legumes. Jim & Janet will talk about how these foods contain a variety of nutrients that sustains anyone not eating animal-based foods and how it adds more fiber, phytonutrients, and antioxidants into your diet. A whole foods vegan diet can give your body everything it needs, and here you can learn about some of the most common areas of concern, along with answers and information to explore, including a list of the most important nutrients you need and where to find them in a plant-based diet. • A Course in Miracles Discussion Group @ 3:00 PM EST (CAN/US)

Would you like to feel peaceful even in difficult circumstances? Would you like to feel more connected to your Source? In this online discussion we delve into how A Course in Miracles can enhance our spiritual journey and teach us peace in the midst of chaos. ABOUT A COURSE IN MIRACLES “It..aims...at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence, which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all encompassing can have no opposite. This Course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way: Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God.” (T-In.1:7-8,2:1-4) A Course In Miracles (ACIM) is a unique spiritual self-study program designed to awaken us to the truth of our oneness with God and Love. It teaches that the way to universal love and peace—or remembering God—is by undoing guilt through forgiving others. The Course thus focuses on the healing of relationships and making them holy. ACIM also emphasizes that it is but one version of the universal curriculum, of which there are “many thousands.” The language of the Course is of traditional Christianity while it expresses a non-sectarian, non-denominational spirituality. ACIM is a universal spiritual teaching, not a religion.
