• An Evening of Nurturing Spirit - "Breath & Movement" @ 6:00 PM

This week we hear from Rhonda Clarke, who will help us understand the experience and sensation of connecting Breath with simple Movements.

In this time of physical distancing and social isolation, Creating Connection Vancouver invites you for an hour or so of meaningful community to help pick you up in the middle of the week and to learn a little bit about how to care for ourselves from home.

    PRESENTER BIO
Rhonda brings years of experience in many Modalities of Healing, Meditation, Movement Therapy and Emotional Wisdom. As a Global Nomad living overseas most of her life, Rhonda has learned to understand that we are all “same-same, but different” in the Oneness of who we are. She sees life from a broader perspective and has learned to “witness” the emotional body as well as nurture our physical, mental, and spiritual selves in many unique ways.

Rhonda has experienced many forms of Healing Modalities such as Healing Massage, Energy Healing (Studied Barbara Brennan and Donna Eden, Certified in Reiki, Quantum Touch, Language of Light, and experienced the Reconnection and more), Breathwork, Raindrop Therapy, Intuitive Astrology and has taught Intuitive Development classes. She has studied many forms of physical movement her entire life (from Sports, Triathlons and Personal Fitness Training to Tai Chi, Yoga, Nia Technique to her own alivEmotion) and believes physically moving is important in the mental and emotional balance.

Rhonda owned The Movement Center in Thailand where she hosted many International Therapists. She also worked and trained at top spa/healing facilities in Thailand, UK, Russia, Singapore, the US, and Canada.

Rhonda’s life experiences have brought much wisdom to her training and how to navigate by “joyfully dancing through life” and being aware of the “whole” you. She created AliveEmotion Movement Meditation in 2006 which transforms our reactions to joyful choices through music and movement. There is no doubt that music and movement can rewire the brain to making better choices in our daily life. This change helps us be aware of the moment, what we created in that moment, and how to react to the change facing us in that moment. Rhonda is currently rebuilding her website with her Music director in Thailand.

Rhonda’s mission now is to create a community that naturally supports each other through the ups and downs of life. She would like to live in a community where we use our local resources (food and medicine) as well as training individuals, therapists, and business owners on how to live in a sustainable community. Rhonda would like us to help each other find balance and feel support, confidence, love, compassion, and joy in our communities.

  • Satsang - Singing Into Silence Saturday, February 27 @8:30 - 10 pm EST (CAN/US)

“Everybody with a voice can sing, and everyone with a breath in their body can experience their divinity.” Deva Premal

Satsang is a sanskrit word that describes a way of coming together in community to experience pure truth and love beyond religion or culture. During these lonely and isolating times, it is so important to find creative ways of coming together to do this. Even online, the simple act of joining together to sing can touch places within us that spoken words cannot.

It is not about performance or perfection. It is every voice remembering that singing is a universal language as ancient and natural as language itself. Singing together dissolves boundaries and opens hearts to silent truth beyond words.

Doug and Vickie share simple songs and chants from various spiritual traditions you can sing in your own space, from the silence of “Om” to a joyful “Alleluia”. Clap your hands to lively rhythms and the beat of a drum, and let soulful melodies guide you into silence that connects hearts as one united voice. Together we will create a vibration of peace to fill the world. We welcome all voices, all cultures and all traditions.

Facilitated by Doug & Vickie McArthur
Special Guest: Mary Jean Belrose, drumming meditation (February 27)
Bring your drum or an improvised instrument - a box, bucket, tupperware or use your table or lap!

  • Seekers Discussion - Bi-weekly Tuesdays @ 7 PM EST (CAN/US)

You are invited to explore spiritual topics in an evening of open and casual discussion about all aspects of spirituality. The night will flow wherever people want to go with their perspectives and questions.

In January, we will continue the discussion about the Human Energy Field and how it affects our life and interactions with others.. Bring all your questions.

Facilitated by Tina Heathers. Tina loved growing up in a traditional Christian church until it was time to let go of church and develop her attraction to energy healing and meditation. With increased intuition and emotional sensitivity, she also discovered the great peace that comes with solitude and silence. Tina loves to talk about inner peace, spiritual healing, meditation, the metaphysics of personal reality, card readings, A Course in Miracles, Goddess and the Divine feminine.

    RULES OF PLAY

    - Openly share your thoughts and perspective
    - Accept that others will have different thoughts
    - Watch for your own internal resistance to ideas that are different than yours
    - Self reflect on how your mind prefers your own opinion
    - Practice listening without judgment of right or wrong
    - Have fun and help to create a supportive and accepting environment

Presented by AWAKENING SPIRITUALITY, a safe, supportive space to deepen connection to Source, self and all, while seeking to become a bridge of peace and oneness across a diversity of faith and spirituality.

  • An Evening of Nurturing Spirit - College Prep Anxiety @ 6:00 PM

College Preparation – Helping your child overcome anxiety with Deepak Sharma.

In overcoming anxiety, there is a major difference in the quality of life when you shift from "REACTING" to life to "RESPONDING" to life.

Parents will walk away understanding the following,
    * The Neuroscience of how ANXIETY is physically CREATED in your child and HOW TO IDENTIFY it.
    * The major outside FACTORS that are CAUSING your teen's ANXIETY. The LIMITATIONS and OUTCOMES that anxiety CREATES within teens.
    * How to SHIFT their ENERGY to OVERCOME anxiety.

"ONLY WHEN TEENS BELEIVE THAT THEIR FUTURE WILL BE BRIGHT BECAUSE THEY ARE CAPABLE OF CREATING IT, WILL WE BEAT THE ANXIETY EPIDEMIC IN OUR YOUTH."
    - Deepak Sharma Volition Academy

In this time of physical distancing and social isolation, Creating Connection Vancouver invites you for an hour or so of meaningful community to help pick you up in the middle of the week and to learn a little bit about how to care for ourselves from home.

    PRESENTER BIO:
"Today, I'm a professional coach but I wasn't always. I was a senior operations executive who had driven rapid change to improve business profitability. Throughout my corporate career, I stepped into challenging roles and assessed operational performance, developed process improvements, created teams, and implemented the action plans to attain the needed business results."

"I managed Operational Excellence at an $18MM organization up to an $850MM organization, and what I had found was that whether at a small or large company, driving people to their best comes down to one thing. That one thing is what launched my life off on a trajectory I could have never imagined. That one thing is understanding who you are at the core and how to influence this so that you can become who you need to be. This is the key that allows people to accomplish everything required to create success and their dream life."

"On my journey to realize my own true capabilities, I found clarity in my passion, which is to coach and mentor young adults so that they transition to become adults powerfully by creating unshakeable confidence so they can create an extraordinary life without the needless suffering and struggles that I (and most likely you) experienced at their age."
