Life is a journey that leads to the unexpected. We start out in one place, and end up in another. Or, perhaps we come full circle and see things with fresh eyes. The question is how to write about the communities we’ve left—or those we want to join—in ways that are humane, insightful and wholly truthful. Meet writers who care about the ethics and aesthetics of life writing to explore dos and don’ts, and to craft exercises we can all learn from.

  • Plant Based Nutrition with Guest Heather Mason Murray @ 7:00 PM EDT (ON/CAN)

If you’re interested in plant-based nutrition with questions about getting enough nutrients, incorporating more plants into your meals, or just curious to know more about this lifestyle, then these sessions are for you.

Janet & Jim are excited to welcome Heather Mason Murray as guest presenter this month. Heather is a gardener who educates and encourages people to grow their own food. She sells garden starter plants and produce that she grows on the farm and hosts homesteading workshops.

Please consider attending as we learn from and share with Heather in this discussion of how we can enhance plant based nutrition through gardening.

With a mixture of story sharing, presenting, and short video clips, the workshop is scheduled to run for 90 minutes with time afterwards for some Q&A.

PLANT BASED NUTRITION isn’t a hard concept, but there are many concerns on a wide range of topics. Processed foods and animal-based foods may be a huge part of the Standard North American diet, but it doesn’t have to be that way.

We are able to eat a whole foods, unprocessed diet without eating animals AND get all the nutrients we need in the process. Wondering where you’ll get your protein, calcium, iron, and B vitamins? No need! You'll learn all about how to base your diet off whole foods, and how to eat a variety of vegetables, leafy greens, fruits, nuts, seeds, beans, and legumes.

Jim & Janet will share about how these foods contain a variety of nutrients, enough to sustain anyone not eating animal-based foods and how it adds more fiber, phytonutrients, and antioxidants into your diet, giving your body everything it needs.

  • Fireside Chats: Wisdom of the Oracle Bi-weekly Sundays @ 8:00 PM EST (CAN/US)

Oracle and Tarot cards are a tool that connect my strategic brain with my intuitive soul. They share messages, ignite a desire, guide your decisions or confirm your intuition.

Come explore Tarot and Oracle cards. I will choose a different deck from my collection each session. During this zoom session, we will play with the cards and share the magic that can be found by interpreting what comes to light. One lucky person will be spotlighted and receive a three-card reading.

May 9th - Sacred Rebels by Alana Fairchild
May 23rd - Black Moon Astrology by Susan Sheppard & Jane Marin

It is a wonderful place to share your thoughts, develop your intuition and hang out with great people! As your host, I would be so honoured to have you connect with us.

To search out some of the other cards I use for readings, have a look at my card menu and book an in-depth reading for yourself.
    https://annapilon.com/dream-readings/

    ABOUT ANNA:
I had spent four decades dedicated to various responsibilities and jobs, none of which was particularly fulfilling. I realized I was not living my dream life or living consciously. I was merely going through the motions and had lost what was once so important to me. Once I began to live purposefully, life became magical. My calling is connecting my strategic mind with my intuition. This allows me to interpret the secrets tarot and oracle cards will reveal for you. My eudaimonia, that which brings me joy, has always been the fascination with people’s stories, listening to others and brainstorming solutions to struggles.
Reading cards and using my intuition has been a hobby since I was a teenager. Even using an ordinary deck of playing cards, my friends and I would “see” what the future could look like for us. This lifelong interest grows every time I pick up a new deck.

Presented by AWAKENING SPIRITUALITY, an online gathering for spiritual seekers to openly explore various spiritual topics, share knowledge, experience, understandings and even question in a safe, non-judgmental space. • A Course in Miracles Discussion Group @ 3:00 PM EST (CAN/US)

Would you like to feel peaceful even in difficult circumstances? Would you like to feel more connected to your Source?

In this online discussion we delve into how A Course in Miracles can enhance our spiritual journey and teach us peace in the midst of chaos.

    ABOUT A COURSE IN MIRACLES
“It..aims...at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence, which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all encompassing can have no opposite.

This Course can therefore be summed up very simply in this way:
    Nothing real can be threatened.
    Nothing unreal exists.
Herein lies the peace of God.” (T-In.1:7-8,2:1-4)

A Course In Miracles (ACIM) is a unique spiritual self-study program designed to awaken us to the truth of our oneness with God and Love. It teaches that the way to universal love and peace—or remembering God—is by undoing guilt through forgiving others.

The Course thus focuses on the healing of relationships and making them holy. ACIM also emphasizes that it is but one version of the universal curriculum, of which there are “many thousands.”

The language of the Course is of traditional Christianity while it expresses a non-sectarian, non-denominational spirituality. ACIM is a universal spiritual teaching, not a religion.
