    Release Your Inner Writer
Release Your Inner Writer is a writing group for anyone who feels they are a writer, wants to be a writer, or those who want to explore writing in a comfortable and supportive setting. We’ll set the stage for you to write creatively with opportunities to share with the group, or not, whatever you’re comfortable with.

Have you ever thought: “I have an interesting story, but I don’t know how to start sharing it with people”? Have you ever thought of writing a book? Do you simply want to start journaling? Every person has a story to share, and all of them are transformational for ourselves and sometimes for others. When we write our thoughts and ideas down, we move internal content to an external device like a notebook or a laptop. By doing this we’re able to clear our heads and uncover one layer after another.

“Creating connection” is a welcoming community and a safe space to uncover within some things you might even be aware of. We invite you to join our “Release Your Inner Writer” group Mondays at 4pm pacific, 5pm mountain and 7pm eastern time.

  • Beyond Awakening: Meditation For Uncertain Times - 2nd Thurs Monthly @ 7 PM EDT

    Link visible for attendees

Meditation and the path of inquiry helps to interrupt the story of “me.” Even for a short period of our practice, our personal stories and suffering disappears, and goes “offline,” and we awaken to the simplicity of being.
    --Anne Douglas

Have you had an experience of “spiritual awakening,” but are not sure how to sustain this new level of awareness? Are you worried or anxious about the current state of the world? Now, more than ever, we need practices that can guide and sustain us during difficult times, as well as authentic spiritual communities to support us along the way.

Become part of an inclusive, online practice community, exploring time-honored practices that connect us to a sense of resilience and inner wisdom during challenging times. Simple breath and body awareness, sitting meditation, walking meditation, deep relaxation, and present moment awareness, while inspired by the truth of the Buddhist teachings of Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, are also universal practices that provide inspiration and stability to people of all faiths and spiritual traditions.

Experience a vibrant community of practice to enliven and support your awakening, and strengthen your ability to sustain your practice through the challenges of daily life. These experiential sessions offer time to learn the practices, readings and poetry to inspire us, and space for sharing our experiences and insights. Through both our individual and collective awakening, we can bring much-needed insight and understanding to the complex issues that confront our world. Together, we can tap directly into the infinite intelligence and freedom of the awakened mind.

Facilitated by: Vickie MacArthur, Spiritual Director, Yoga and Meditation Teacher, Writer

Vickie MacArthur is a lifetime pilgrim on the spiritual path of every day life, rooted in her Christian, Buddhist and yogic communities, walking an inter-spiritual path that honors the depth of all traditions. • "Perfect Brilliant Stillness" Book Discussion @ 3 PM EST (CAN/US)

    Link visible for attendees

Join an online open discussion about "Perfect Brilliant Stillness" by David Carse.

An intimate account of spontaneous spiritual enlightenment and its implications in a life lived beyond the individual self, Perfect Brilliant Stillness is a guidebook for the more advanced spiritual seeker who is ready to go beyond popular ‘new age’ ideas to explore in depth the perennial wisdom of the non-dual tradition of Eastern spirituality. Perfect Brilliant Stillness offers an invitation to finally let go of the false sense of individual self and to go, completed, beyond.

"It is challenging, triggering, gives me goosebumps, and points to Being, What Is, the Understanding and much more. You will want to say, "I don't 'understand' it at all." and "I get it!" even though there is nothing to understand and no "I" to get it. It will be an encounter of the 3rd kind, the 5th dimension, the nth dimension, the infinite, the eternal, Oneness, ...Perfect... Brilliant... Stillness...! This writing seems to go beyond the Course in Miracles in pointing closer than ever to Awakening; Understanding. " - Johan Koeslag

Read this writing completely, then start again, and listen to the audio version, once, twice. Read and listen together, make notes of your thoughts, reactions, responses, those "I don't get its", follow up on the readings and books read and quoted by the author.

Then, let's get together and share our understandings or no-understandings giving each other a different way of looking at things or thoughts that we didn't think of before.

A free PDF copy of the book can be accessed here.
