What we’re about
Many of us crave deeper connections in life. Not only with others, but ourselves, the environment around us, the physical world we live in, the infinite universe, or The Divine itself. Creating connection can take on many meanings and can look different for each of us.
Whether you feel it through your mind, your body or inner being, Deep Connection eludes many of us, thanks, in part, to the noise of the distractions all around us every day. Technology, social media, cultural expectations, schedules too busy to manage, etc., all can dampen our ability to make the very connections that we're craving for in our every day lives.
In this meetup, we will explore these barriers to true connection and help uncover the key principles to breaking through into those 10 seconds of courage that can transform the way you interact and engage, while at the same time learning to exercise your listening muscle to take these connections beyond scratching the surface and into real, authentic relationships.
Utilizing effective models and practices such as Conversation Cafés, TED Talk Discussions, Retreats, & Workshops, Free Listening Stations, Reading Groups, Food & Nutrition Awareness, Physical Mindfulness, Pay-it-Forward Actions, the Zentangle Method, the Kindness Rocks Project, Care & Compassion Programs, Adult Colouring Therapy, and many others, a more compelling picture can begin to emerge for you, and help create a greater awareness of how everything is so very interconnected.
In the end, our goal is to create opportunities for you to experience this awakening and transformation, that in the end will allow you to find more connection and wholeness in your life. We look forward to our journey together.

"Creating Connection One Conversation at a Time"
Join our hosts Linda Klughart and Shirley Smith as they warmly invite you for meaningful conversation, to connect with others and to meet new friends. We'll discuss a new topic each week and explore some deeper questions together.
Linda Klughart. Just a couple things about me to introduce myself. My favourite things are meeting and listening to friends – new and old. I have an eclectic list of interests and google is a great entertainment for me…in fact, my close family and friends get me to google for them – they are so happy to keep me busy! LOL Welcome to our Coffee and Conversation.
Shirley Smith. I have always been a social person and enjoy being with other people. I am involved in my community doing volunteer activities, sports and visiting with family and friends. As a group leader I am looking forward to forming a new community with you by sharing our stories, perceptions, and life experiences. I know I will learn from you, as well as enjoy some laughter and fun together.
In this safe, inclusive, casual, and accepting environment, dialogue is encouraged over debate as each person has opportunity to share from their own diverse perspectives and experiences. Folks in this group enjoy going beyond small talk, reflecting both inward and outward, helping build pathways for more peace and understanding in the world... and your voice matters! Come, simply to discover yourself amidst a community on a common journey, or to leave just a little bit better than you came. Come, listen, share, and find meaning here. We welcome you."
**Video On. Please note that because everyone shares their thoughts and stories in this group, we request that you keep your video on. It is much easier to understand what you're saying when we can see your face. When you log on, we ask that your name is visible, and your video is on. Thanks!

- Release Your Inner Writer - Monday's at 4pm pacific, 5pm mountain, 6pm centralLink visible for attendees
Release Your Inner Writer
Release Your Inner Writer is for anyone who feels they are a writer, wants to be a writer, or those who want to explore writing in a comfortable and supportive setting. We’ll set the stage for you to write creatively with opportunities to share with the group, or not, whatever you’re comfortable with.Have you ever thought: “I have an interesting story, but I don’t know how to start sharing it with people”? Have you ever thought of writing a book? Do you simply want to start journaling? Every person has a story to share, and all of them are transformational for us and sometimes for others. When we write our thoughts and ideas down, we move internal content to an external device like a notebook or a laptop. By doing this we’re able to clear our heads and uncover one layer after another.
Hosted by Kathy Nutt
Kathy Nutt is a creative who uses many media and styles to convey a glimpse into her mysterious, whimsical world. Although mainly focused on the visual arts, she dabbles in the written word and is endeavoring to cultivate a consistent practice of writing, whether it be poetry, essays, short stories, or journaling.Kathy believes a writing practice (along with any creative practice) is a beneficial way to break through the mundane and view our worlds through fresh new eyes. We may discover a breakthrough, change a pattern, or just experience catharsis. Or we may simply arrive in a place of joy. She believes the creative process is more important than the finished product and that creativity is for everyone, not just the gifted few.
