Creative Code Budapest #5

Details
Hey!
This will be our fifth community meetup! (well, if we don't count the previous two meetups, but they didn't have any numbers in their title :) )
What to expect?
- nice, open and curious people
- 3 short talks to feed our brains with some new inspiration
- hanging out, getting to know each other, maybe making up future plans for collaborations or exhibitions together.
Our first speaker will be Andrea Görcz.
In the age of internet paradigm-shift children’s toys and games are changing as well as the toolkit of education.
Andrea has a rare condition, called synaesthesia. It means that the production of a sense impression is relating and stimulating another sense impression in her brain. Recognising it made her learning process much more effective. This phenomenon inspired her to transition from graphic designer to a media artist and to do research on the topic of multi-sensorial learning techniques.
She will talk about how to implement technology in education in a good manner and how digital interfaces are effecting our cognitive-system.
Then Vladimir Storm (Vladimir Ständer) will talk about augmented and mixed realities.
Vlad is a visual artist and a creative director focused on immersive media and real-time computer graphics. He collaborates with volumetric filmmakers and game studios, universities and science labs, museums and creative agencies to design unique interactive storytelling, immersive installations and spatial visual effects. He is a frequent public speaker at various art and tech conferences and runs the Creative XR community in Berlin.

And the third speaker will be Peter Szegedi, who will introduce us to the world of art games.
Péter started working as a 3D graphic artist at Stormregion, later he helmed multiple projects as a producer and creative director, leading smaller teams. He founded two independent companies, one of these is Extropia Games. Here he developed a point’n’click adventure game titled Bela Kovacs and the Trail of Blood – the game has been played over one million times on Kongregate and Armor Games.
He took some time off to work as an indie developer and freelancer, he worked on prototypes for games alone and with teams, and he held a Game Jame course at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.
Now he’s back at NeocoreGames, and he is developing a Game Boy like retro game in his free time, and started creating an art game scene in Budapest.
The meetup will take place at A66 Event Space, you can arrive from around 19.30, the first talk will start at 20.00.
We are all looking forward to seeing you!
