Details

Hey!
This will be our next community meetup!
What to expect?

  • nice, open and curious people
  • 3 short talks to feed our brains with some new inspiration
  • hanging out, getting to know each other, maybe making up future plans for collaborations or exhibitions together.

Our first speaker will be Mátyás Csiszár. Matyi labels himself as ‘a creative industrial technologist and interdisciplinary freelancer.’ Researching unique imaging and image-display systems, his publications and installations focus on understanding everyday objects sustaining our day-to-day existence. He is also the Founder and Artistic Director of a low-tech innovation workshop and think-tank called MeetLab, specializing in creative experiments with materials, prints and light.

And than Gyula Bodonyi will talk about the magical world of interactive particles. While he is experimenting with mimicing natural behaviors, he is generating other worldly visuals, that look very similar to naturally forming structures.
With some simple rules, and some initial chaos, Gyula can create very complex shapes, behaviors that constantly change and rearrange. He will present us some of these interactive particle systems and discover it with us.
Gyula in his job is creating interactive installations, for dance shows, he uses a node based developement platform called Touchdesigner and for him the most interesting thing in making interactive installations is that he can connect a digital world to our reality and interact with it in creative ways.

And the third speaker will be Kálmán Tarr, who will introduce us to his robotic art and DIY hacks. Kálmán works with moving images and new media. His project The stage of Impossibilities is giving a tool to disabled children to perform such precise coordinated movements that otherwise they wouldn't be capable of, and help them play and perform with puppets.
