β βΆοΈ Thougths and Prayers
β by π Seori Sachs (https://seoris.com )
With the help of Processingβs text visualization, Thoughts and Prayers is the marriage of the ad-lib nature of Twitter statements and a reflection on the ease of creating sentiment in response to complex events. The talk will explore the origins of inspiration, the simple elements of natural language processing implemented, and a conversation on why this project brought up troubling ramifications for the way those in power address issues that affect us all.

bio: Seoriβs origins stem from the realm of game audio at NYUβs Music Technology program. Intrigued by its nonlinear nature, she has sought out ways to make it accessible to visually impaired gamers in past and current projects. Seori plays around with generative art, inspired by concepts of fractals and iteration. Her time at School for Poetic Computation introduced an interest in how computers deal with human language through machine learning and natural language processing.

β βΆοΈ RabbitControl - A Remote Control Protocol
β by π Ingo Randolf (http://ingorandolf.info/ )
A binary data-format definition to describe data values and user interface elements. It is intended to expose parameters (values) from a host application to a client in a defined way. It was created with UI clients in mind which update values at the host application. It can also be used in a non-UI case.

β βΆοΈ In-Between Pixels
β by π Charles Portelli
In-between pixels is a play on the phrase "read in between the lines" Many literary authors craft stories, while allowing the reader to develop their own connections within the story. Always eager to understand more about what is in front of me; there are two questions that are constantly being asked:
How can we see beyond what we are actually looking at?
How can the viewer be the artist?
