What we're about

This is a group for people who want to explore poetic computation.
This ranges from the poetic effect of code to code itself being poetic.

Thats a wide spectrum, touching on music, dance, computer graphics, virtual reality, augmented reality, literature, performance art, exhibitions, hardware hacking and many, many others. It is also not essential for a computer to be involved, computation and coding are high level ideas that can be enacted with people, paper or writing.

The key is to provide a welcoming environment to inspire, surprise and support using computation to express ourselves.

A good background read on the ideas of Poetic Computation written by Taeyoon Choi: http://poeticcomputation.info/

[Accessibility and diversity is a key part of this meet-up. I've spent a lot of my life unable to participate due to crappy access and environments that leave me uncomfortable. If you have any access needs I want to do everything in my power to make you welcome and accommodated. Please get in touch if you have any worries. Creative computation is a language and a empowerment everyone should have access to.]
