If you got ideas for awesome projects, but for some reason can never work up the motivation to start working on them, then this is the group for you. We are a community of hobbyists, inventors, programmers, artists, writers, whatevers who just want to work on their awesome ideas with a community. Join us as we gather up, grab our supplies, and bring our ideas to reality. Our meetings are specifically for the purpose of getting some work done while enjoying the snacks and the company of each other. This group is primarily intended for young adults, but if you're above that age, we'll gladly welcome you in if you feel brave.
Focusing on four basic elements will make your writing more dynamic and engaging: setting, characterization, dialogue, and scene. Understanding how they work will enable your writing to capture your reader and evoke greater emotional resonance. These four elements will deepen and expand your writing, whether it’s fiction or creative nonfiction.
Divided into four units, this master class will be built around presentations, discussion, and analysis of varied, short readings drawn from masterful authors. The class will also give you the opportunity to write on site and we’ll end by discussing important aspects of writing a dynamic and meaningful scene.
