Drawing Nature: Botanicals, birds, landscapes and more
Through this meetup you can discover botanical drawing and illustrating nature. Our natural world is a fascinating place, and when we observe and replicate it through drawings, we really can change our way of seeing and thinking. I offer a series of classes where you will learn essential skills and techniques for creating accurate drawings of subjects from the natural world: plants, birds, animals, seashells and even landscapes. We gather in my art studio, equipped with all necessary supplies. Attendees usually bring most of their drawing materials, however, I can provide many of them, like charcoal, pencils, pastels and basic paper. I also take care of bringing natural subjects to draw, easels (if needed), boards and other necessary things. There are also plenty of books and references on botanical and natural history illustration. These weeks in September and October, a have lots of seasonal and very colorful subjects - like pumpkins, corn, gourds, flowers and many more.

What we're about

A group for creative people who love painting, sketching, drawing and art conversation. Come and create art in a friendly environment. We gather on Mondays 7-9, Wednesdays 6:30-8:30 and Saturdays 11am-1 pm.

This group will be especially interesting for those who are into botanical art and have fun drawing the flowers, leaves, fruits and other natural subjects. Learn more about the art classes that I offer on the website:

I provide instruction in painting and drawing, easels, basic drawing materials, still life and botanical arrangements. We gather in small groups, so everybody gets a lot of individual instruction. Cost of a two-hour session is $25. Please bring your own paints and canvases.
