This introduction is for developers and enthusiasts interested in building on the Tezos blockchain and will be hosted by Michael O’Rourke, CEO of Pocket Network.
Tezos is a new platform for smart contracts which implements in-protocol governance and formal verification for smart contracts. The Tezos blockchain is written in OCaml, and its smart-contracts are written in a new language developed specifically for Tezos called ‘Michelson’, with higher level alternatives currently in development. This gives it a number of unique advantages and makes it an interesting potential alternative to more popular smart contract platforms like Ethereum, especially for backbone financial applications where security and verifiability is paramount.
New token standards and developer tools are emerging for Michelson. This group will explore them all in a supportive networking environment.
Street Parking NORTH of Kennedy Avenue is free all after 6pm. Meters are enforced on Kennedy Avenue and all streets south.
