Are you familiar with the works of HP Lovecraft or other Mythos related authors? Or the Cthulhu Mythos or any Cthulhu based game? If so, what have you read/played?

I have played lots of "Call of Cthulhu" in the old percentile systems. Also, Arkham Horror, Mansions of Madness, Gloom, and Dark Corners of the Earth. I have read a nominal amount of his work, and I find myself attracted to the absolute horror of his vision that does not require loud noises or something leaping out of a window at me.

What sort of gaming experience do you have? What role-playing games or board games have you played? New to gaming? No Problem.

I have played lots of pen and paper RPGs: D&D (3.0 to 3.5), Legend of the 5 rings, Call of Cthulhu, ChtulhuTech, and on and on. I also very much enjoy card and board games. Netrunner is recent favorite. Also, Magic, 7 Wonders, Citadel, and so on.

Are you more interested in participating in RPG's, board games, or both?

I mostly prefer board games as they seem to fit with the larger social structure more, but I will happily settle down with a pen and paper RPG group that I feel can stick together for about a year.

In an effort to meet new people and make new friends that share a common interest. I am trying to gauge interest in non-gaming social events like meeting over drinks, craft brews, coffee, etc. Interested? (this question added 8-25-2017)

Relatively new to Colorado. Used to have a gaming group in Arizona, but moved away. I really enjoy playing games that stimulate me to think, interact, and get creative.
