At the Cuddle Workshops we run, its purely a non-sexual environment and because when there's no sexual agenda, participants can be more open and relaxed, we aim for a nurturing feel to the physical contact and a noticing of what happens to the human body when oxytocin starts to flow. At a Cuddle Workshop, we run a series of exercises in pairs and groups, and we help participants to be able to ask for what they want and to say no when that's the right decision for them.

A few months ago, I was grilled on BBC Radio Leeds Liz Green Breakfast Show about this workshop. Click to Listen:-
And recently I was on nationwide on BBC radio where the presenter was a little kinder to me!
This Course is in alignment with the Human Touch Foundation guidelines for non-sexual touch workshops.
Many of us are hard wired from our early teens to associate touch with sex. What would it be like to separate nurturing touch from sexual touch? And then to explore that nurturing touch, with the wisdom and understanding of an adult, but with a childlike innocence. What boundaries would we have? And would that touch go beyond gender to the realms of connecting with another human being (whoever that might be)? There was a time in our lives when we unashamedly hugged our parents, our toys, our friends, our pets because we knew it gave us immense comfort. For many of us, this was a time without any thoughts of our own goals and indeed without any suspicions regarding the other person's motives. At Cuddle Workshop, we provide a fun and warm hearted environment where you can re-learn nurturing touch. Whether you are an advanced cuddler or novice cuddler, this is for you!
I am affiliated with Anna Fortes Mayer's Cuddle Workshop in London which has been around since 2011. I started attending as a 'novice cuddler' several years ago and now co-facilitate some events with Anna. Now I bring to Yorkshire all that I have learned. Here is a video shot at the London workshop, and it gives you some idea of what I do in Menston.
Staring in January, I will try and find additional venues around Yorkshire. Watch this space!
These workshops start at 1:30pm prompt and the doors open at 1:10pm, so please say if you are running late on the day so we know you're on your way. The telephone / text contact number on the day will be 07712 257329.
The workshop ends at 17:00, in order that those who are leaving by train can catch one to Bradford (17:36hrs), Leeds (17:16hrs) or Ilkley (17:20hrs). Train times correct at the time of writing, please check for yourself. Those who don't need to rush off are welcome to stay for a cuppa and a chat. This helps us assimilate gently back to the outside world. Please bring nibbles/snacks to share, with teas and coffees provided free. There is plenty of free parking on the streets nearby.
This venue suits a group of up to around 13. I will try to gender balance and may "wait list" bookings from one gender if there is a strong gender bias. If you would like to book anonymously or if you need a different way of paying other than via Meetup, then please message me and I can sort that for you.
Just look at what people said about a recent workshop:-

(If you are a little nervous about attending a group workshop, or possibly recovering from a bad past experience with touch and you think that you might benefit most by a one to one appointment, please message me for details)
You can email me via Meetup, but if you need to email me directly such as if you are not a Meetup member but would still like to book, my contact details are [masked]

Payments you make go to the organizer, not to Meetup. You must make refund requests to the organizer.
