  • Mingle on Mondays! Russian Cultural Cuisine at Kalinka!

    Kalinka Russian Cuisine

To start off I'm feeling like doing a light mingle at a Russian spot with some folks! Just a heads up I'll be posting this to a couple other local groups too so expect some more of my friends and other meetupers to be there to experience this unique spot. For those folks who never had the chance to try authentic russian food (but didn't want to drive to studio city for the good stuff) feel free to try this place! Located in a sleepy glendale suburban strip mall, this hidden gem is one of the best new Russian restaurants in the valley! I myself have been here several times and I do enjoy their hearty and classic russian dishes like borsht, blinis, pelmenis, and okroshka! And wash it down with their kvass and homemade kompot fruit fermented drink! If ya don't believe me check out their reviews: https://www.yelp.com/biz/kalinka-russian-cuisine-glendale My plan is to come a bit early and grab a larger table, and maybe even make a reservation about a week early based off how much interest is for this event. This should be a slightly smaller event so there is somewhat of a cap. Heads up if you can please bring cash as they can only split so many cards, although if you have venmo that could help too! Parking is available in a small lot along with nearby street parking so read the signs as always! So for folks coming heads up, I'll be making this cap a hard one because its kind of a small spot. Well for folks who want to try something different, come give this spot a go!

  • Hybrid-Social/Tech Networking Mixer at Two Bit Circus (VR Barcade)!

LA is a big city with so many great people to network with. But how valuable is it to be in a city with great networking opportunities if you don't get out and network. And this spot is an amazing little gem in the Arts District to hang out! Let's all meet at Two Bit Circus for networking while exploring the latest and greatest VR entertainment to hit the Los Angeles area and possibly the greatest in the US. We will be hanging out near the center bar at the first floor next to the LED tree and the robotic bartender (yeah I really said that, this place is crazy cool). The idea for this mixer is there will be tech folks or other interested people who are there to mingle and network with other creatives and tech professionals. And whenever they feel like relaxing they can go explore the arcade and check out the VR! Parking can be found early on at the actual game bar's lot (although it fills quickly) or on Parkopedia for paid lots nearby, along with street parking. Although Ubering is also a nice alternative coming here, as it is a little sketchy downtown and safety is our #1 concern, especially going home after enjoying the libations from the bar. Check good spots here: https://www.spotangels.com/#parking-near=634-Mateo-Street-Los-Angeles-California-90021-United-States-of-America https://en.parkopedia.com/parking/garage/1262_e_palmetto_st/90013/los_angeles/?arriving=201908061800&leaving=201908062200 This is a multi-meetup group for content creators, tech entrepreneurs, and innovators as well as any locals interested in getting out and networking in a fun way!
