Simply put...we at PPLAC (http://www.PPLAC.org) like photography! Come and network with other photographers, join in on workshops and outings, recharge your creative batteries and pick the brains of world class instructors. We thrive on sharing our creative ideas and expertise with other photographers of all levels. Founded in 1952, PPLAC (Professional Photographers of Los Angeles County (http://PPLAC.org)) is a local affiliate of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) (http://www.ppa.com/) and the statewide Professional Photographers of California (PPC). PPLAC (http://www.pplac.org) provides the educational tools, networking, information, advice, and resources to assist you in accelerating the growth of your professional photography skills and business.

Restoring an image from an era gone by requires a unique set of skills that, when used correctly and creatively, bring images back to vivid life. Incorporating contemporary Photoshop skills is essential. The process of colorizing and implementing painterly techniques are combined with compositing and overlays to create eye-catching art. PPLAC Zoom Webinar–"The Beauty of One Light Photography" with Tony Corbell

"The Simplicity, Control, and Beauty of One-Light Photography" PPLAC and the PPA Continuing Education System presents a Zoom webinar by award winning Master Photographer, Tony Corbell on Thursday, July 16 at 6PM! Tony Corbell has photographed some of the world's most recognized faces including three US presidents, 185 world leaders at the United Nations, fashion models, celebrities, NASA astronauts and more. He has photographed and/or taught photographic technical skills in more than 20 countries and world capitals as well as in all fifty US states. We will look at a number of images that were all done with one light only. PPLAC Member Image Competition Night - Non-members welcome to watch the fun!

This our third image competition of 2020. Non-members are welcome to watch the fun! Non-members, this is a free night to come and watch the evening's competition in the Garden Room of the Veteran Memorial Complex. The key to improving your work is to participate in PPLAC’s Digital Photographic Competition. Four of our monthly meetings each year are devoted to competition. Your images will be judged and critiqued by experienced judges, many of whom are qualified by Professional Photographers of America. Award possibilities include Best of Category, Best of Show and PPLAC Photographer of the Year. PPLAC photographic competition provides an unparalleled learning opportunity for our members.
