PPLAC Workshop-Demystifying the PPLAC Digital Photographic Competition (DPC)

Workshop - Demystifying the PPLAC Digital Print Competition (DPC) Date and time: Sunday, February 3, 2019 Time: 10am to 2pm Cost: Free to all active members of PPLAC (Professional Photographers of Los Angeles County) $49 to non-members. Location: Veterans Memorial Complex 4117 Overland Avenue Culver City, Ca Room A (recommend parking in back of building) On Sunday, February 3rd from 9am to 1pm, we will conduct a workshop to teach you everything you need to know about Print Comp. We will talk about the “Why’s and Wherefores’ of print comp and answer any and all of your questions. We will review the rules and procedure for submitting your images. We will show you, step by step, how to prepare your images, including mats and stroke lines. There is no better way and no faster way to improve your photography to a professional level than to enter print comp! And there is no better place to do it than at an affiliate like PPLAC where you will receive constructive comments on every image you submit. • We want to help those of you who think the submission procedure is too complicated to see how easy it really is to enter your photos. • We want the newer members to be more at ease and more informed about the process. • This Workshop is for everybody, no matter at what ability level you are. Please bring your laptop computer with Photoshop and/or Lightroom on it. (It’s OK if you don’t have one but better if you do.) Also bring 2 or 3 jpg images to work on. In conducting this Workshop it is our hope to make you all more knowledgeable about the value of print comp and encourage many more of you to enter images. The DPC is, after all, here for our benefit. We should all be taking advantage of it! Please RSVP to John Grusd at[masked] or Eleanor Gray at[masked] so we can plan accordingly. We look forward to seeing you there!
