Our approach is a humble one. Filled with love & compassion for ourselves, family, community, Mother Earth, and all our relations.
This group is not for everyone. It is only for those who are ready to deepen their understanding of Healing Practices through the teachings of Curanderismo. It requires an intention and attention to walk with respect, an open heart, and a willing spirit.
Respect is at the core of everything thing we do. Respect for ourselves, each other, and our communities. Anything less, is a waste of spirit.
What is Curanderismo?
Curanderismo is an indigenous healing practice, which has been taught for hundreds of years. It is not a religion; it is a positive approach to life. It is an understanding that everything in the world is made up of energy and must be respected. This energy lives in the soul of every person and can be harnessed for the good of all. It is about developing a positive presence and honoring your intuition.
Our group goal is to develop a deeper understanding of Shamanism, Indigenous Healing Practices & Curanderismo, in order to live a life of beauty and respect. By honoring Mother Earth and all of her relations, we practice the art of compassionate listening, while building bridges wherever we go.
Why Are We a Closed Group?
We are about quality and not quantity. We are open to building bridges with everyone who is truly ready to deepen their connection to the medicine (teaching & healing). We welcome positive, loving, proactive people to join our group.
How Are Members Accepted?
All potential members are asked a series of questions in order to determine their readiness to join our group. If it is determined that the fit is not right, suggestions may be provided to support the individual readiness.
We Call Ourselves Student
We call ourselves students because we are all students and teachers to each other.
Questions to Ask Yourself When Choosing a Teacher.
Finding the right teacher for you , who teaches Curanderismo is a very personal experience. Since teachers are human, here are a few things you may want to consider before choosing one.
What does your community have to say about the practitioner?
Are their words & behavior congruent? Do they walk their talk?
Are they compassionate towards their students, clients and community ?
Are they grounded in spirit or ego?
Trusting Your Instincts:
How do you feel in their presence? Do you feel safe? Do you feel compassion and love coming from coming from them?
Do they actively work on healing their personal stuff? Or are they a "wounded healer"? This does not mean perfection, instead it means they are an active participant in their wellness: physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Observing your feeling and asking these questions will keep you safe and help you to discern if the teacher is right for you. Trust your instincts they are always right!
What Will We Share?
Corazon-Heals-Corazon (Heart-Heal-Heart). From a compassionate place, we will share fundamental healing & spiritual practices and teach how to "Walk-In-Beauty", by supporting our family, our respective communities and ourselves
Who Will Be Teaching?
Our group will be lead by Yellow Wolf Nieves and other visiting spiritual elders, teachers and Curanderas. Together we will share our knowledge from each one's unique perspective. Our spiritual practices and teachings are rooted in an ancient indigenous perspective which is very meaningful, healing and powerful.
What is Required of Our Members?
An open heart, respect and a willingness to be an active participant in the learning process. To trust that you are in the right place and are ready to deepen your understanding of Indigenous Healing Practices & Curanderismo. Remember, within you lives all that is needed.
