Turkey day ride
• Must wear helmet • Able to ride 30 miles on a non-flat course • Have a road bike in good repair (i.e. not likely to break down) • Prepared to ride about 2 hours • Bring 2 full water bottles and some sports nutrition (GU packs or Sports bars) • Have stuff to repair a flat (CO2 cartridges, spare tubes, etc...) even if you don't know how to use this, it will at least give a coach something to work with • Signed Waiver on file (https://app.waiverforever.com/pending/UyamYeOrRs1384742255)7 Scott

What we're about

This group is run and provided for by certified USA Cycling coaches that work with a lot of first time cyclists. I have discovered that a lot of people buy bicycles only to have them gather dust in the garage simply because they

have no one to ride with

are intimidated by shifting gears

do not know the basics of cycling safety

We are here to help you and this group was originally started specifically for "Beginner Cyclists" but has become much more in a very short time.

The purpose of this group is

to help entry level beginner cyclists learn all the basics of cycling

understand and practice safe riding in groups and road safety

basic bicycle maintenance, such as tire repair, flat avoidance, etc

how to gain greater enjoyment from their bicycles

how to meet their fitness goals.

to change the cycling culture from the ground up by encouraging riders to communicate, interact with traffic in a safe manner and be ambassadors in general for the cycling community.

This group is for people who

are brand new to cycling or group riding* and want to learn to ride with a group and the rules

have not ridden for a long time and want to get back into it *who would like an enjoyable healthy social activity Come on out and have some fun.

have been riding for a long time but want to learn more

want to help others improve their skill by joining our mentor/organizer program

cyclists of all abilities and levels. We have rides for the complete beginner, intermediate and advanced. All rides are structured so that riders who are trying to advance and get better will feel welcome!
