Diving and cycling in Lanzarote - the island of fire adventure

Not a fan of rain, grey skies and temperatures nearing zero? Join us at Canary Islands! With diving, cycling, visiting volcano, wine tasting and an optional camel ride this trip is an adventure packed summer escape at the beginning of winter. With the temperature highs of 24C in November and 7 hours of sunshine, volcanic landscape and warm seas, Lanzarote has a lot to offer at this time of the year!

Not only we will break away from the winter blues, but we will also discover a different and amazing volcanic landscape of this island, which is like nothing you have ever seen before. We will also get the glimpse of the underwater world with its own unique fauna and flora.

I am getting help in organising this trip from Alvaro, an old friend of mine who used to live there and first showed me round the place. As a local he will best show us the secrets of the island. And trust me, once you have done it - you will keep coming back, as I do now!

Price: Early bird price of £230 applies if you pay in full by the end of September. In October you can still get a slight discount and pay the total of £250. In November the full price of £280 will apply.

The final payments have to be in my account two weeks before the trip the latest. If you have not paid by then you will be removed from the trip and your deposit will not be refunded. 10am - 12am - trial dive

12:00 - 14:00 time to change and have a quick lunch

14:15 - 19:00 Visit to Timanfaya national park and volcano, and wine growing region and wine tasting, optional camel ride

Saturday 30 November

Graciosa (cycling and sightseeing)

Graciosa is a flat island of around 28km2. There are no roads, just sand, therefore only bikes are allowed. The only cars on the island are 8 4x4! We will find the most beautiful wild and empty beaches unspoilt by the tourists and known just to few locals!

9:30am Departure from Puerto del Carmen by cars. We have to be spot on on time as ferry will not wait.

11:00 - 11:20 Taking a ferry from Lanzarote (Orzola) to Graciosa.

11:20 - 12:15 Walking around Caleta de Sebo (the only village at the island)

12:15 - 12:45 Getting sandwiches and drinks for our lunch at the beach (not included) and sorting out the bicycles

12:45 - 13:45 Cycling to Las Conchas

13:45 - 15:15 Beach time, lunch, sun in Las Conchas. If anyone wants Alvaro will be available to take you for another quick cycle, I will be staying at the beach with these who want to stay.

15:15 - 16:15 cycling back to Caleta de Sebo

16:15 - 17:00 returning the bicycles and getting a drink

17:00 - 17:20 - taking ferry from Graciosa back to Lanzarote

17:20 - 18:30 driving back to Puerto del Carmen

18:30 - 19:00 refreshing

19:30 Dinner

Sunday 1 December

Morning - beach time!

13:00 - 15:45 Lunch and picking up the bags

15:45 - 16:15 transfer to the airport

16:15- 18:15 Airport - time for everyone to check in and go through security

18:15 - 22:15 BA flight to London Gatwick (£119 - checked in September)

Total flights: £161.99

If you would like to reduce costs, you could take an earlier flight, which leaves Gatwick around 7:30am and is cheaper, and you could wait for us at the beach in Puerto del Carmen. I woudl be happy to organise a transfer for you.
