We emphasize the practical value of philosophy, and connect philosophical insight to lived-experience. Seeing philosophy as more than an intellectual activity, we engage in the examined life as a way to cultivate meaning, purpose, intention, freedom, creativity, and fulfillment in our personal and professional lives.

We've got three kinds of activities for you to watch for:

(1) A monthly social gathering, which is free and open to anyone interested, where we talk about a philosophical passage that helps us delve deeper into interests that were voiced at the last meeting.

(2) Philosophy workshops, which are discussion-style philosophy courses, on a focused theme, that draw on classic and contemporary philosophical readings, and meet once a week for a series of weeks.  Workshops require registration and payment to participate.

(3) And philosophy retreats, which are out of town, multi-night, experiential learning retreats at a lodge or retreat center, which allow us to combine theory and practice on a focused topic.  Retreats require registration and payment to participate.

Workshops and Retreats are led by a philosophy professor committed to accessible language, open and respectful discussion . . . and maintaining a sense of humor! Check out our website:  www.curioussoulphilosophy.com
