Doors Open adventure 2018
Hello, this is a placeholder for a cycle around some of the buildings participating in the Doors Open Day. I organised this last year and it was a really lovely day out. I’ve not led a ride since owing to health issues, and now I’m on the mend it’s my personal target to be able to lead this ride. The cycling will be gentle with lots of stops at fascinating places, suitable for the softest of softies including those recovering from injuries etc. Distance will be about 12km max. Come help me rise like a very slow and wobbly phoenix!

    What we're about

If you fancy joining a Meetup cycling group in Edinburgh that does mainly flat routes, where it's OK to get off and walk up any (small) hills there might be, where we stop sometimes just to look at or take a picture of a part of the city we've never seen before, then perhaps we're for you. This group has been set up to do short, easy runs at weekends which always involve a stop for lunch or tea and cake and a chance to meet new people who share an interest in cycling and the outdoors. We charge a £3/year membership fee to cover the $180/year Meetup charges to use the website.

Typical Rides? Easy, flattish routes, starting usually from a central point, and medium distances of around 10-20 miles - always with a break for lunch/snack/cake! Usually weekends, although some summer mid-week rides might also be arranged. Wear comfortable clothes and, as it's Scotland, pack a waterproof layer too!
Thanks to Mark at Spokes Edinburgh for allowing us to use his excellent map on our page.
