Altomünster to Augsburg
Details
The ride will be north of Munich taking the S-bahn to Altomünster. We will meet at 8:45 at Marienplatz near the ticket machines on the first underground level. We will arrive in Altomünster around 10:00. We will then proceed across beautiful rolling hills, forests, and small villages. The first stop will be at a castle where Weißwurst will be on offer as well as great local beer. We will then proceed across more beautiful hills and forests arriving at our lunch stop, another castle complete with its own brewery! We will then proceed downhill to the flat lands of the Lech river valley and follow it to Augsburg where will will, yet again, rest our weary...legs and exercise our beer drinking arms. We will then take the train back from Augsburg to Munich.
I will organize Bayern Tickets for the group. You need your own Deutsche Bahn bike ticket, not an MVV ticket. The Deutsche Bahn bike ticket costs 5 Euros. The Bayern Tickets costs can be found here:
