Go on a bit challenging bike trip from Rotterdam to Brielle and back

Details
Join us for a 70 km bike ride!
We start in Rotterdam, station Schiedam, south side. From there we go to Brielle and we finish in Rotterdam, station Lombardijen.
We’ll get out of town, passing some huge windmills, and enter an area with meadows, flowers, cows and so on. Coffee break will be at the border of a bird's nature park - maybe you want to bring binoculars.
Going along we will get on a do-it-yourself ferry, amble into Maassluis, take the ferry to Rozenburg and keep on going to Brielle, an old fortified city. A typical dutch expression "op 1 april verloor Alva zijn bril" refers to this place and a specific historical event in 1572. Lunch time!
We will retrace a bit and get onto 'long island', about 15 kms long between two rivers with lots of sheep and geese, then along Oude Maas and finding our way to Station Lombardijen.
Please, note:
- We will go at some pace. We aim for about 20 km/h when on the bike. Your condition has to be OK and your bike has to be OK too.
- 5 - 15 participants
- The weather forecast is favorable, but check your messages before leaving if that turns into so-so.
- Bring some small change for the ferry Maassluis-Rozenburg
- The train will take you in about 20 minutes from The Hague HS to Schiedam.
From The Hague it'll cost you about € 10 for personal tickets back and forth and € 6 for a day card for your bike. See www.ns.nl.
