What we’re about
DACSAR Members & guests,
DACSAR is one of 4 Search and Rescue teams in Dona Ana Co. We provide qualified volunteers for New Mexico search and rescue operations. Our membership is open to individuals 18 years or older. New Mexico SAR missions are initiated by the New Mexico State Police and operate under the NM Search and Rescue Act. Missions are run by volunteer incident commanders directing volunteer teams. DACSAR members are skilled in visual tracking, ground search methods and drone use. We have members with ATV and dog team experience.
We encourage you to join us.
Check out our website for more information.

PLEASE NOTE: an active SAR Mission will take priority over a scheduled training and could cause a last minute cancellation of a Meetup gathering. It has been rare that a mission has impacted a training and we will do our best to update the site as quickly as possible.
If you are interested in helping others and enjoy the outdoors you should check us out. We have monthly meetings and regular training activities on tracking, ground search techniques, map skills, compass & GPS skills, first aid, State SAR Plan, survival skills & communications.
