Saturday Practice
**If you plan on attending lessons or borrowing equipment please let us know in the comments below. If you do not comment for a spot in lessons or for equipment by Thursday we cannot guarantee you a spot.** YOU KNOW THE DRILL!!! We'll have our usual practice at Needwood Lake at 1pm until we get tired. And as per usual, dinner will follow to whoever wants to come! Just walk right up and say hi! We'll be having our introductory lesson starting promptly at 2pm going until 3pm. You can bring your own equipment, or are welcome to borrow some. Though our arsenal is limited, we will do our best to get a bow into everyone's hands during this period. Availability is is first-come-first serve, with priority going to those who RSVP in the comments & those who are participating in lessons. If you are bringing a +1/+2 please include their name in the comment. If you, or your +1/+2 are under 18 years old, please include the ages of the participant(s) in the comments.* Latecomers will be asked to come another time. Groups of 4 or more, or for private parties, please message Natasha and Stefani directly. Although we do not charge for lessons or equipment use, we highly encourage a $10-$20 cash donation to the Club's Equipment Maintenance & Tasty Snack Fund (aka. The George Jar) for those participating. All members and participants are encouraged to pitch in to the Tasty Snack Fund. Questions? Just ask! See you at the range! *Minors are required to have a parent/legal-guardian present at all times, or they will not be allowed to participate.

What we're about

There are no indoor or outdoor archery ranges inside DC city limits, but there are a few great opportunities for avid archers to shoot in nearby MD and VA. This group is for archers who want to participate in target practice, meet other archers, and possibly compete in competitions. The group is open to all skill levels and for those that use compound, recurve, barebow, and long bows.

We have regular shooting practice once a week at the Lake Needwood archery range near Rockville at 1 PM on Saturdays. Other events are announced on the meet up site sporadically as well.

We have a great group of archers and a few are gracious enough to provide some equipment and training to beginners. If you are a beginner, free first-timer lessons start promptly at 2pm and go until 3pm. Please make sure to RSVP in the comment section or contact a group organizer so we can make sure we have enough equipment, and arrive at least 15 minutes early so we can get you set up. If you RSVP to the meetup, but do not comment to let us know you are in need of equipment or lessons, we can not promise a spot. Our arsenal is limited but we'll do our best to make sure all beginners have a bow during lesson time.

George is kind enough to provide and maintain targets, loaner equipment and snacks, so ALL participants, especially those using his equipment, are highly encouraged to donate to his equipment-maintenance & tasty snack fund.
