FINALLY in person events are returning!
Please join us at Kingstowne Library Large Meeting Room for some party games!
We are hoping to play Telestrations and Banned Words and possibly Werewolf, depending on the size of the group and interests.
Telestrations is the visual version of the classic “telephone game” where you draw what you see, then guess what you saw to reveal hilarious outcomes!
Players in Banned Words need to get their teammates to guess five secret words or phrases while avoiding traps set up by the opposing team — but you can only guess what those traps might be!
FAQ about us:
♟ We are a "funpetitive" social board gaming group. This means that while we play to win, we try not to take it too seriously.
♟ Adults of all ages are welcome, the majority of this group is in the 20s -30s range.
♟ Full vaccination is required for this event (honor system). That means a full course of vaccines and the applicable wait time. Masks are optional.
Unfortunately, while we will try be as careful as possible, we cannot promise that this will be 100% Covid risk free, please keep that in mind when deciding whether or not to attend. Stay home if you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid 19. Please keep an eye on this event for possible changes.
Hope you can make it!
Don’t Mess with Cthulhu is a social deduction game with secret identities. Players are either Investigators trying to keep Cthulhu from waking and controlling the world, or Cultists that want to bring the world to a disturbing end.
The game takes place over four rounds. The Investigators must uncover all the Elder Signs to win; the Cultists win when Cthulhu is revealed or if the game ends before all the Elder Signs are discovered.
CrossTalk is the party game of subtle conversation in which two teams race to guess secret keywords. Each round, teams select a clue-giver, and those clue-givers are given knowledge of the same secret keyword. The goal of the clue-givers is to help their teammates guess this keyword before the other team.
Please only RSVP if you plan to attend, and please arrive on time for the game instructions, in consideration of others :)
Hope to see you there! --Roland
Let's Play Trivial Pursuit!
Trivial Pursuit is one of Canada's proudest exports. Question cards are separated into categories and teams roll and move, putting their heads together to answer trivia questions and winning colored pie pieces to fill up their tokens.
I find I like the spice of playing with the original Genus edition. Fewer cutesy questions, and every once in a while something on tennis pros from the 1970s just to keep one team from having too dominating a streak.
So Genus I is what I'll be bringing!
Brush up on your Geography (blue), Entertainment (pink), History (yellow), Arts &Literature (originally brown, later purple), Science & Nature (green), and Sports & Leisure, and see you there!
Please only RSVP if you plan to attend, in consideration of others :)
