What's your experience working with drones? Beginners are welcome!

Involved in both remote operations and autonomous operations (including some AI projects) since 1977. Some DoD, Some FAA, Some Home Brew. Learning more each day.

What kind of equipment do you own/operate (ArduCopter 3DR Hexacopter, Phantom, AR Drone etc...) You don't need to have your own equipment to join the group.

Spring 2014 Update - A suite of more than 40 built and shipped, including 26 to schools for use in STEM. Most are either Arduino based, open source software controlled, and a couple of early generation undersea systems from the 1980's were donated.

What events would you like to see this group have?

Group labs to explore the use of sensors in flight. We still need this... it's really the commerical value proposition, and the STEM learning labs we provide need commercial support and knowledge in the "sensors" sciences.

How did you hear about this group?
