Dr Vadim Polikov will be discussing the challenges in fundraising, and provide advice for those raising money at all stages or rounds. He is an entrepreneur who has built and sold companies, with 8-figure successful exits. He has raised money many times, and evaluated investment pitches from startups as well. He has been on both sides of the table, and has developed unique insights from his vast experience. He has investments in over 20 startups, as well as being the CEO for Legends of Learning

Dr. Vadim S. Polikov, Ph.D is a Co-Founder and Partner at Panther Angels. Dr. Polikov is Founder at Legends of Learning. He also serves as a Venture Partner at NextGen Venture Partners. Dr. Polikov Co-founded Astrum Solar, Inc. in 2007 and served as its Chief Executive Officer and President. Prior to this, he Co-founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer of American Journal Experts. Dr. Polikov also helped start Ultrasound Ventures and has consulted for several other start-ups in the incubation stage. His other professional experience includes mergers and acquisitions at UBS Warburg and a variety of roles in venture capital funded start-ups. Dr. Polikov is also a NABCEP-Certified PV Installer and a former scientist. He served as Member of the Board of Directors Astrum Solar, Inc. He earned both his PhD in Biomedical Engineering and BSE in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University, where he was the valedictorian of the School of Engineering. Food and drink will be served.
