Happy New Year! Time for another HUG.

This presentation will be the first in a series of talks on using HashiCorp (and other OSS) tools to support DevOps practices in the Ethereum ecosystem to help bring Ethereum to the enterprise. This talk will focus on using Vault as an Ethereum wallet. Topics will include:

  1. Overview of the Ethereum ecosystem (high level)
  2. Overview of Vault and the plugin architecture (somewhat technical)
  3. The design, development and deployment of the Vault-Ethereum plugin (very technical)
  4. Live demo using Vault to deploy a smart contract and send ETH
  • Install Vault and Ethereum
  • Set up MFA for Vault authentication
  • Create Ethereum Externally Owned Accounts (EOAs)
  • Import and Export EOAs
  • Send ETH between EOAs
  • Deploy a smart contract

I hope that this talk will help introduce Ethereum technology to the HashiCorp community and possibly visa-versa.
