The Growing DC JBoss Community and Upcoming JBoss Case Study talks

Fellow members,

When we restarted the DC area JBoss user group, our hope was to create and grow an energetic and engaged community in which peers can freely share their expertise and everyone could learn from each other.  As we look back after a full year, we are ecstatic about the size and diversity of this community.  In just a short period of time, we have grown to becoming one one of, if not the, largest JBoss User groups.

We've had some great talks on JBoss technologies, and learned about some solid fundamental components. Yet, we ultimately want to hear from you about how JBoss  and open source fit in you project and business environments.  We think there is great value in hearing from you about the opportunities and challenges you are experiencing.

For the next several DCJBug meetings, we have lined up several talks by our local area members. We will have the opportunity to learn more on how JBoss is leveraged in a broad cross-section of businesses - including Healthcare, Mobile Advertising, and Federal Government agencies.

For our first few talks, Justin Hayes, Rick Kilcoyne, and Amit Sharma have all volunteered to share with us their project experiences and enlighten us with some best practices and lessons learned.  Hopefully you are looking forward to these talks as much as I am.

As always, we are want to hear more from you.  If you have a cool JBoss-related project that you'd like to present to the group, a technical issue that you need some insight with, or a question you'd like to pose to the group, let us know and we'll work to get you on the calendar.
