DCJS[40] - DUAL TALKS - What's new in D3.js 4 && Intro to Angular 2 CLI

  • Nov 10, 2016 · 6:30 PM
  • The Iron Yard

Hey folks! In November we'll have DUAL TALKS! To start us off, Nicolas Sam will present a lightning talk on using the new Angular 2 CLISetting up a new Angular2 application can be cumbersome, and definitely time-consuming. We need to setup app files, Typescript configs, Typescript typings, testing frameworks, System.js configs and more, and we haven't even said 'Hello' yet! In comes Angular CLI!

For the main talk of the night we will have Brandon Morrison talking about What's New in D3.js 4! D3.js is a fantastic library for building data visualizations with JavaScript. The library recently had a 4.0 release with quite a few changes, including immutable selections, better modularity, and several tweaks to make rendering to canvas significantly easier. Join us as we cover what's new and what's changed in D3.

We hope to see all of you at The Iron Yard DC for some great information and some great networking! Bring your questions for Brandon and Nicolas, and if you're looking for a job (or hiring) be prepared to connect with others!

As usual, food will be provided by our sponsors, but beverages are on you. BYO__!
