W3 / VMO: Winter ADK trip - primary weekend

Four day long trip to the Adirondacks. We blow a day each way for travel, hence two full activity days. The exact route is TBD, but will likely involve base camping. Expect to be on a mix of snowshoes, crampons and bare boots depending on the conditions.

We've set aside a primary and backup weekend, since I view it as unwise to camp if it might get below -10F. We'll still go and camp at 0F, so expect to pack gear to do so. We'll manage white gas stoves for melting snow and boiling water as group gear.

Since the ADK are very cold in winter, this trip is for those who have significant winter gear and experience. Expect to snowshoe for much of the trip, but this has varied by year. Contact me at aplydon at gmail.com for questions, etc.

In the event that the group size grows past 8, we'll split into two groups so as to keep below the group size limit. Due to the potential separate trip the weekend before, there's currently some ambiguity as to who's definitely going and not on the roster.
