Come join me on DCUL's most classic trip: The Massanutten Loop aka The Death March. By now, some of you have done this trip or heard us gush about the special connection we have with this trail. You get the chance of having your name chiseled in DC UL's Hall of Fame: https://dculbackpacking.com/hall-of-fame/!

We will do the classic splits, i.e. we will start at the Signal Knob Trailhead ( https://goo.gl/maps/s4QhefpZ14BPEykV9 ), and hike clockwise. I suspect folks will end up leaving at various times on Thursday and we will just assemble at Little Crease shelter at some point. I'll co-ordinate as we get closer. We will camp at the top of Waterfall Mtn on Friday night and at the Woodstock campground on Saturday night. Splits will be ~9/25/23/15 miles. There will be a lot of elevation gain and rocky steps (something our phones should also track?)!

Everyone should bring a map. PATC has a great map of this trail: http://www.patc.net/ItemDetail?iProductCode=PA230&Category=AH

I am excited just thinking about it already.
