Some ideas from "A Functional Programming Kickstart" book,
by Daniel H Steinberg.
Speaker: Greg Mitsakopoulos, iOS development hobbyist

We will review through the lens of this book what is functional programming and why it matters, then discuss the basic functions available and look together into a specific application of those.
Greg came to Chicago CocoaHeads in 2018 in pursuit of what was then his newfound avocation. He is a government chemist by trade. His kids think CocoaHeads partakes of hot chocolate. His supportive wife, while maybe skeptical, doesn't show it, allows his hours in the basement. Nonetheless, he is at it still.

Allen, a self taught developer at Yelp and the host of iOS Dev Happy Hour where he focuses on providing developers a place to share experiences, share knowledge, and simply hangout, build community, and even enjoy a drink or two.
